The Grey Bruce real estate market continued to show varying conditions across the region in May 2026. While some municipalities experienced increased inventory and longer marketing times, others remained relatively balanced with strong sale-to-list price ratios. Buyers continue to benefit from increased selection in many areas, while sellers with well-priced and well-presented properties are still achieving strong results.

Owen Sound remained one of the busiest markets in Grey Bruce during May.

With nearly 42% of new listings selling during the month, Owen Sound continues to offer balanced conditions. Inventory remains relatively healthy while homes continue to sell close to asking price.


Chatsworth

Chatsworth saw moderate sales activity with inventory levels remaining relatively balanced.

Southgate continues to attract buyers seeking affordability compared to neighbouring markets, though homes are generally taking longer to sell than earlier in the year.

Saugeen Shores remained one of the strongest markets in the region, benefiting from continued demand in both Port Elgin and Southampton.
